Friday 6th March

I’m struggling to start today’s post. I feel that the biggest imprint on me was when I sat by myself outside the Costa in Waltham Cross watching the world go by. I was there to meet a candidate after his interview which ended 30 minutes later than I expected. There was a market in full swing, “remember it’s mother’s day” was the repeated call by one of the traders. I remember thinking that this didn’t give me much information on what she was selling. My mind also wandered and wondered at the concept of a market and how it is the root of all business.

I spoke to my dad about the application that I will make for James Clear’s vacancy. He seemed interested in it but hasn’t really listened to any podcasts before. I recommended that he start with Rugby Bricks as it’s easy to listen to and starts with the host being interviewed by his friend in the first episode which I feel is a nice touch. I’m almost 3/4 of the way through Shoe Dog and am sure I’ll finish it tomorrow. Once I have done that I will start preparing for the podcast and the 7,500 words I will need to write for James. My mum has sent me some links to look at to help me prepare for this.

Tomorrow I’m off to watch Rosie play rugby for her ladies team, followed by the England game at her club’s local pub and then potentially pub golf. It will probably be a long one!
