Uncle John open’s the Gardener’s Arms pub up today – I’m really excited for him and Sarah. I briefly spoke about this with my mum yesterday and we both feel proud that John is running the main pub in Higham. Mum said who would have thought that when they moved to Higham in the 60s that they’d one day be running the pub.
I’m feeling pleased with myself as I’ve exercised and read this morning. I woke up late but stuck to my plan which was as soon as I get up make my bed and then straight after plan what I was going to do for the day. It’s now 11:46am and I have achieved most of my goals for he day.
I’m still reading the French Revolution book and am determined to finish it within the next week. I’m just over half way. I do enjoy it but where I hadn’t put any specific time aside to read it, it just hadn’t happened. I’m also feeling pleased as I did 100m on the rowing machine today – I hadn’t rowed at all for at least 2 months – probably more like 3 or 4! By limiting myself to 100m each day it is very achievable to keep the habit going.
For the rest of the day I plan to tidy the kitchen, start researching for my new job and evaluate my routines in more detail.
