Tuesday 28th July

On Friday we went up to see Billy and had a Shepherd’s pie with him. Mum then dropped me off in Limehouse where I had a few beers with Remy and Maia while I waited for Marta to come round. n We ordered a couple of pizzas – one had ricotta and apple, the other burrata and aubergine – both were tasty. I can’t remember the name of the film we watched but it was awful. It was about a group of old women who have a book club and read 50 Shades of Grey. For some reason this book has an affect on them and they all have changes in their love life. Not one for a second viewing.

On Saturday around 10 of us went to a couple of pubs in Bethnal Green. Marta’s friend Sara joined – it was good to meet her. Most of us ended back at my flat in Limehouse to see it off.

Marta was hungover on Sunday and was sick a couple of times. I didn’t get up to much but did pack up a few more things to take back to Rumwood. We move out properly next weekend and I have a car load of things left to bring.

Yesterday I started my day as planned – making my bed, exercising etc and later in the day we went to Bluewater where I bought Dulcie a few things for her birthday. It is so much easier getting Dulcie to choose what she wants as I have no idea what she likes. Bluewater was pretty empty and a lot of the shops closed at 5pm with the majority all closed by 7pm. We had planned to go for Tapas but the restaurant was closed so we went to Browns instead.

I’m getting better at sticking to my new morning routine however I am struggling to get up at 7am. Today and yesterday I completed my exercises as well as spending time reading. I hadn’t written for a few days so I need to make sure I keep this up and continue to do it every day with no exceptions. It’s been easy for me to keep up with the rowing as 100m only takes me 20 seconds. I’m going to keep it at 100m for quite some time so that I get used to doing it and will then start to build up the distance. I’ve also been eating healthier – I tend to have a very small breakfast of some fruit and an espresso and then have a salad for brunch around 11am. I calculated my BMI yesterday and it was 26.5 which means I’m overweight. It should be below 25. My ideal body weight is apparently 63.3kg to 85.6kg – thats roughly 9 stone 13 pounds to 13 stone 6 pounds. To me, 9 stone 13 pounds sounds very light!

I’ve been putting off preparing for the new job so need to set aside 20 minutes daily to actually do some of the prep work before I start on the 17th August.
