Thursday 6th August

Mum stayed at Lana’s last night and Dulcie went out with her friend so I had the evening to myself, which I enjoyed. Not that I did a lot; I spent the majority of the evening in my room reading the Perils of Perception book and had Bonnie lying down next to me. I’m determined to finish this book quickly; I don’t want to spend months on a book again.

This morning I got up after Dulcie had gone to work (around 8:30am) although my alarm went off at 7am. I still haven’t sorted out my night time routine and have been going to sleep around 1am. It’s funny that I am struggling with this as when everyone was here in the height of lockdown I would regularly be in bed by 10pm. I need to get this sorted as going to sleep late means I wake up later than I’d like and I’m keen to make the most of my mornings and get as much done as possible.

I did a bit of hoovering and cleaned the kitchen this morning. I quite enjoy cleaning when I put a system in place i.e. sorting all the dirty items before washing them, cleaning all the surfaces before starting the washing up etc. (all very exciting). I think I enjoy tasks when there is a clear process so the more processes/systems I can implement in to my life, the better.

I’ve still got a few things to sort out from my move back from Limehouse – I must do this today as it’s cluttering up my room and bed. It won’t take me long so I’m going to do it as soon as I finish writing.

Finally, I noticed the insights on WordPress yesterday which showed I have had a few views on this blog (at most 2 on any given day). Today I looked in more detail at the insights and it showed that most of my views have come from China which I would not have expected. It has made me wonder how anyone has come across this when I’m not advertising it and am effectively just writing it for the sake of writing.
